Composite Construction
We combine technology with craftsmanship. The moulds are computer cut, directly from the 3D design data, so parts fit together with precision. Despite the use of the latest technology, we still hand-polish the surface of our moulds to create a perfect mirror like finish.
The composition of each part is engineered to allow strength, yet reduce weight. We use resin infusion moulding for the hulls, decks, and other significant components. This increases strength, allows a more consistent composition, and reduces weight. This closed construction technique also reduces the release of toxic vapours into the environment.
We use the latest synthetic core materials to strengthen our hulls and components. We do not use plywood or other woods for reinforcement, as with time these can rot. We incorporate Kevlar and carbon fibre reinforcements for strength and light weight.
